DMG Sports Launches New Children’s Football Franchise in Maidenhead
DMG Sports is delighted to announce the launch of its newest children's football franchise in Maidenhead, bringing its exciting, development-focused football programmes to families across the local community.
Led by experienced children's educator Kayleigh Upward, the new Maidenhead franchise will deliver fun, engaging and inclusive football sessions for children aged 15 months to 9 years at Cox Green Leisure Centre.
With an impressive 15 years of experience working in children's education, Kayleigh brings a wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for supporting young children's development.
The launch represents another exciting milestone in DMG Sports' continued expansion across the UK, providing more families with access to high-quality children's football coaching that focuses on developing confidence, coordination, communication and essential life skills through sport.
Bringing 15 Years of Children's Education Experience to Maidenhead
At the heart of the new Maidenhead franchise is Kayleigh Upward, whose extensive background in children's education makes her an exciting addition to the growing DMG Sports family.
Having spent the past 15 years working in education, Kayleigh understands the importance of creating positive, engaging and supportive learning environments where children feel confident to explore, develop new skills and achieve their potential.
Her experience working with children has given her a strong understanding of how young people learn, the importance of encouragement and the role that physical activity can play in supporting children's overall development.
Speaking about her exciting new venture, Kayleigh said:
"I'm absolutely thrilled to be bringing DMG Sports to Maidenhead. Having worked in children's education for the past 15 years, I've seen just how important it is to give children opportunities to develop their confidence, independence and social skills from an early age."
"What really attracted me to DMG Sports was the philosophy behind the programmes. It's not just about teaching children how to play football; it's about helping them develop essential skills that will benefit them throughout their lives."
"I'm incredibly passionate about creating an environment where every child feels welcome, supported and encouraged, regardless of their ability or previous experience. I can't wait to meet local families and begin building something really special here in Maidenhead."
Kayleigh's educational background will play an important role in helping deliver the DMG Sports philosophy, ensuring sessions are not only enjoyable but also tailored to support children's physical, emotional and social development.

A Shared Passion for Child Development
DMG Sports Founder Dr Mark Gould believes Kayleigh's extensive experience in children's education makes her an outstanding addition to the franchise network.
With DMG Sports placing child development at the centre of its coaching philosophy, Kayleigh's understanding of how children learn and grow aligns perfectly with the company's vision.
Speaking about the launch, Dr Gould said:
"We're absolutely delighted to welcome Kayleigh to the DMG Sports family and to be launching our children's football programmes in Maidenhead."
"Kayleigh brings something incredibly valuable to our franchise network. With 15 years of experience in children's education, she has a fantastic understanding of how to support, engage and inspire young people."
"At DMG Sports, we've always believed that sport is about so much more than developing technical ability. It's about building confidence, developing communication skills, encouraging teamwork and giving children positive experiences that help shape their future."
"Kayleigh shares that philosophy, and her background in education makes her ideally placed to create an outstanding experience for children and families across Maidenhead."
Dr Gould also highlighted the importance of attracting franchisees who are passionate about making a genuine difference in their communities.
"For us, the people behind our franchises are incredibly important. We want individuals who genuinely care about children, understand the value of positive coaching and are passionate about making sport accessible and enjoyable."
"Kayleigh embodies those qualities, and we're really excited to support her as she establishes DMG Sports in Maidenhead. We're confident she's going to make a fantastic impact on the local community."
More Than Just Football – Supporting Every Child's Development
One of the key features that makes DMG Sports different is its commitment to providing children's sports programmes that support far more than football skills alone.
From a child's very first introduction to football at 15 months through to more advanced sessions for primary school-aged children, every activity is designed with development, enjoyment and participation in mind.
Younger children benefit from imaginative games and movement-based activities that improve coordination, balance and confidence, while older children develop technical football skills alongside communication, problem-solving and teamwork.
Kayleigh believes this combination of sport and education provides an exciting opportunity for local children.
"Throughout my career in education, I've always believed that children learn best when they're having fun, feeling confident and being encouraged to try new things."
"Football is such a fantastic way to bring all of those elements together. Children are developing their physical abilities, but they're also learning how to listen, communicate, work with others and overcome challenges."
"For me, success isn't just about a child scoring a goal. It's seeing a shy child become more confident, watching friendships develop or seeing the pride on a child's face when they achieve something they couldn't do before."
"Those are the moments that really matter, and that's exactly the type of environment I want to create at DMG Sports Maidenhead."
Creating a Welcoming Football Community in Maidenhead
The launch of DMG Sports Maidenhead aims to provide families with a positive and inclusive environment where children can enjoy being active, make new friends and develop their abilities without unnecessary pressure.
With sessions available on both Sundays and Mondays, the franchise will cater for children at different stages of their early sporting journey.
Kayleigh is particularly excited about becoming part of the local community and building lasting relationships with children and their families.
"I'm really looking forward to getting to know the families in Maidenhead and creating a welcoming environment where children are excited to come along each week."
"Every child is different, and my experience in education has taught me how important it is to recognise and celebrate those differences. Some children will arrive full of confidence, while others might need a little extra encouragement, and that's absolutely fine."
"My goal is for every child to leave our sessions feeling happy, proud of themselves and excited about what they're going to learn next."
By combining Kayleigh's educational experience with DMG Sports' established coaching programmes, the Maidenhead franchise aims to become a valued part of the local children's sports community.
An Exciting New Chapter for DMG Sports
The opening of the Maidenhead franchise represents another positive step in DMG Sports' mission to inspire the next generation through sport.
As the company continues to grow, its focus remains on building a network of passionate franchise owners who share a commitment to quality coaching, child development and creating positive sporting experiences.
Dr Mark Gould added:
"It's incredibly exciting to see DMG Sports continuing to grow and to welcome people like Kayleigh into our franchise network."
"Her experience, passion and commitment to children's development are exactly what we're looking for as we expand into new communities."
